In the coming years, local government sector services will face significant challenges as large groups of their personnel reach retirement age. Foresight-based development of job descriptions and duties is one of the key instruments for responding to the challenge.

Local Government and County Employers KT is a founding member of the European Federation of Education Employers (EFEE). Established in 2009, EFEE represents all levels of education from pre-school to higher education institutions.

Pensionsförhandlingar på gång
Arbetsmarknadens centralorganisationer och regeringens gemensamma mål är att den förväntade pensionsåldern fram till år 2025 ska höjas till minst 62,4 år. Målet är att förhandlingarna ska föras så att pensionsreformen kan ros i land senast hösten 2014.

Työsopimuksessa ei pidä sopia työaikajärjestelmästä
Ensimmäisessä Vaasan hovioikeuden tuomioissa työnantajalla oli työnjohto- ja valvontaoikeutensa nojalla oikeus muuttaa työaikajärjestelmä jaksotyöstä yleistyöaikaan. Toisessa Vaasan hovioikeuden tuomioissa lopputulos oli päinvastainen.
